Marco Goguen
Chief Financial Officer
Marco Goguen is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Metamaterial Technologies Inc. He brings over 20 years of experience as an investment banker, private equity investor and entrepreneur. He specializes in raising capital, risk management and corporate strategy. Mr. Goguen was Co-Head of the Clean Technology Group at National Bank Financial and was responsible for all investment banking services to energy and industrial technology companies. He was previously a member of the investment banking teams at Credit Suisse First Boston in Montreal, Morgan Stanley Technology Investment Banking Group in Menlo Park, California, and Morgan Stanley Canada in Toronto.
As a private equity investor, Marco co-founded MJCL Capital as well as Canadian Private Equity (CAPE) Partners, two private equity firms with investments in energy technology, information technology, real estate and industrial companies. Previously, he was Director of Investments at Europatweb (Groupe Arnault) in Paris, a venture capital firm with over €600 million invested in 40 companies. He was an associate at the Sextant Group, a mid-market leveraged buyout firm in New York. He also co-founded Solarent, a solar power generation company in Ontario, where he served as CFO.
Mr. Goguen has been on the board of directors of over 20 public and private companies. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.
