Dr. Andrew Yick

Dr. Andrew Yick serves as our Chief Technology Officer. He brings to MTI over 6 years of experience growing international engineering teams with particular expertise in photonics and high-speed RF devices.

Prior to joining MTI, Dr. Yick served in Senior Manager roles at Inphi and Source Photonics where he led successful NPI engineering teams responsible for design verification, reliability qualification, test automation, manufacturing ramp-up and sustaining production. He has also held positions at various high-tech leaders: JDS Uniphase, Newbridge Networks (Alcatel) and GSI Lumonics. His research expertise is in UV laser microfabrication and electro-optic polymer photonics. Dr. Yick holds a BSc. in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from Queen’s University, a MaSc. in Photonics from the University of Toronto and a PhD. in Electrophysics from the University of Southern California.
