Maurice Guitton
Mr. Guitton is one of Canada’s most experienced CEOs with over 44 years of experience and more than 25 patents and several business awards, including the export achievement award and Atlantic Canada top 50 CEO’s. At MTI Mr. Guitton’s role is to give advice and support the management team. He also helps shape the strategy of the company with relevant introductions to clients, suppliers, and partners.
George Palikaras
As the founding CEO of MTI, George Palikaras’s vision positions the company as an industry first-mover leading in developing nano-composite solutions that can master light and revolutionize industries including Aerospace & Defense, Energy and Cleantech. Since 2010 he has been fully dedicated to the commercialization of nano-composites and has developed patented metamaterial technology helping solve the world’s most difficult problems in optics.
Paul McLaughlin
Mr. McLaughlin is the co-founder of MTI and holds a degree in Business Administration from University of New Brunswick. He is a dynamic, serial entrepreneur and business investor with a wealth of experience in various industry sectors. In recognition of his work he was recently listed by the Wallace McCain Institute as one of New Brunswick’s top growth entrepreneurs and appointed as a StartUp Canada representative for the province of New Brunswick Council.
Mr. McLaughlin owns three companies in financing, mortgages and insurance with offices in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Pierre Fournier
Mr. Fournier is currently President of the Triangle Group of companies with its head office in Moncton, NB. He is the Chairman of Atlantic Canada Homes with more than 40 distributors in Japan and speaks both Japanese and Chinese.
To further expand his multinational network, Pierre is a good standing member of the YPO: Young Presidents Organization, Doing Business with China Network, the Family Business Network and the Wallace McCain Institute.
Douglas G. Hall
Mr. Hall spent 25 year as a managing director of investment banking within the RBC Financial Group. He currently serves as a Board Member at Millar Western Forest Products, Purpose Investments/NexC Partners, Pattern Energy Group, Stanfield’s, a member of the Advisory Board of Southwest Properties and he is the past Board Chair of Nova Scotia Business Inc.
Charles Baxter
Named Innovacorp’s VP, Investment in January 2013, Charles manages the Nova Scotia First Fund (NSFF), leading a team of six investment professionals. The NSFF is Innovacorp’s $60 million venture capital fund which provides seed and early-stage capital to Nova-Scotia technology start-ups focusing on IT, cleantech and life sciences.
