Alan Newman

Alan Newman joins META after 37 years of international experience in the banknote industry, where he held a number of senior positions ranging from product development, including design, through to banknote manufacture with the Bank of England and De La Rue PLC.

During his tenure he was responsible for the R&D of new material science for currency polymer substrate and security features, including the design and launch of over 600 banknote designs that are circulating worldwide, as well as winning 14 coveted international design awards since 2008, launching into circulation 30% of the world’s new banknotes.
